For the Egyptians, marjoram was a sacred plant they offered to Osiris. In India too, it was thought that Shiva and Vishnu liked marjoram. In the Greek mythology, a legend reports how the Goddess Aphrodite cured her son’s injuries, Enee, with this plant.
Marjoram is helpful for the stomach, expectorant, sedative and efficient against insomnia, dysmenorrhoea,and diarrhoea. It is also used in the treatment of colds, coughs, sinusite, bronchitis, rheumatism .
